Superintendent/principal

Dear Parents, Students, & Community Members,

It is hard to believe we are midway through the school year!  Our year thus far has been filled with exciting inventions with Project Lead The Way.  We began a new English Language Arts curriculum titled Benchmark Advance and the California Collections Edition from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for grades 7 & 8.  Our younger students are thoroughly enjoying their new IPads in the classrooms.  Our middle school students are enjoying the Chromebooks and new writing programs.  The halls and classrooms are filled with art and academic work.  We are extremely grateful to continue to have Mrs. Cummings as an art instructor and a new partnership with Sol Treasures in King City to provide additional art and dance instruction.  We are also thankful for the continued partnership from the oil industry and Chevron to support students in their education.

Our "A" and "B" volleyball teams placed first in the small school district volleyball tournament this year.  This is due to the extended efforts made by Mr. & Mrs. Macias in coaching and practicing with students.  We are forever grateful to the United States Marines Corps. and the Toys-4-Tots program who continue to positively touch the lives of children and their families during the holiday season.  Students received numerous gifts from Santa during the 15th Annual Toys-4-Tots program held on December 22nd.  Students also performed traditional folklorico dances and a Holiday Tale at the Winter Performance on December 21st.  Our after school program staff are doing a phenomenal job at providing students assistance with homework and safe, fun activities after school.

As I reflect over the past four years I have been in San Ardo, it gives me substantial  satisfaction to be a part of something greater.  Students are excited about their learning and we are thrilled to continue growing and provide additional opportunities!

Sincerely,
Catherine N. Reimer, Ed.D.
